The world, shining bright being held up by a set of hands
Our World.

Running a business isn’t just about the quality of the service you provide or ensuring a safe working environment it also has to be about your commitment to the environment, locally, nationally and globally.

Eco friendly cleaning to help the environment.

Being committed to helping the environment is about our interactions with the environment and how we minimise our impact on the world around. Now more than ever this is an integral part of Kleanline’s business commitment and ethos. Being an eco-friendly cleaning contractor goes hand-in-hand with quality and safety and elevates all aspects of our business.

As a cleaning contractor our customers are wanting us to provide Eco-friendly cleaning and sustainable cleaning solutions for them. This is something we deliver on a day to day basis. We have an established ethos within Kleanline that ensures that we evaluate environmental aspects we have an impact on. Our commitment to the environment is more than just a tick box exercise, we expect our employees to have the same passion, obsession, commitment and drive they display in other areas of their works to be replicated in our environmental impact control, aims and objectives. Kleanline commercial cleaners know that it is a duty of ours for future generations to try and be as environmentally friendly as we can.

The cleaning industry is playing its part in helping the environment

Every industry has apart to play in helping the environment, no matter how big or small. The cleaning industry is proactive in tackling environmental aspects. When searching cleaning companies most promote environmental cleaning as one of their selling points which is absolutely amazing, but there are different levels to being environmentally friendly. What Kleanline prides itself on, is that being Eco-friendly is a key part of who we are. and this infectious commitment spreads to all areas of our business. This type of commitment is when you gain the most success, and make the most difference to the environment. It’s not just about ensuring that we are using the most environmentally friendly chemicals or eco friendly cleaning processes and recycling,  It’s about creating an environment where people challenge and question their impacts on the environment and how they can work better. That’s where true change comes from and a positive impact on the environment.  One person can make a difference, every employees part no matter how small or big plays an important role in Kleanline being an Eco friendly company, and making a difference. Ensuring all employees buy in to this philosophy is where true change is made and that’s what we strive for at Kleanline. It starts with our company’s obsession to create something more and be better. It starts with a true determination to have Kleanline display at all levels of the business the green ethos that runs through it. Kleanlines commitment to the environment can be broken down into 4 parts:

  • Employee training.

  • Chemical selection.

  • Best practices, cleaning techniques and processes

  • Recycling.

How training plays a role in Kleanline's environmental commitment.

Training is key. Kleanline provides environmental impact training for all employees at all levels of the business. This is key to implementing environmental eco friendly cleaning process, best practices and preventing pollution across our company. Understanding the impact we have on the environment is where it all starts. It runs along side quality and health and safety and is equally as important to us as a business. Kleanline commercial cleaners has developed a training system where we encourage our staff to feel confident to raise concerns and take ownership of the responsibilities for the environment and their effects on it, this a key part of training along with appropriate cleaning techniques, chemical control and reviewing the environmental aspects and impacts register.  When training is effective, all staff know that the environmental issues on the sites are important as the quality standards of the site and the health and safety standards of the site that eco-friendly cleaning is part of the companies commitment and the employees commitment to delivering for the customer.

Kleanline’s eco-friendly approach to Chemical selection

When thinking about being an eco-friendly and sustainable cleaning company the cleaning chemicals are probably the biggest thing that springs to mind. Ensuring that the product is environmentally friendly is a great first step. What we look for in products changes depending on the site and the cleaning needs of the sites we don’t have a one size fits all approach,  but what doesn’t change is the research we carry out on the products. We need to know what effects on the environment the product has, what effects on our employees as well as the customers. How the chemical needs to be managed and stored and how good the chemical is at its job. Sustainability is also an important factor and plays a big part in chemical selection, this includes ingredients, how the product would be transported, where it originates and supply chain details. Kleanline looks deeper into the chemical selection of its products to ensure that not only are they fit for purpose, they are also eco-friendly and sustainable too.

Kleanline's Best practices, cleaning techniques and processes for eco-friendly cleaning

Kleanline know It’s not enough to have the right chemical. The chemical has to be used correctly, this is done by ensuring that employees are adequately trained to use the chemical that they are aware of the correct dosage and how to dilute the chemical to the correct concentration, as well as the correct handling and disposal of the chemical. These are all a key parts in creating our eco-friendly cleaning. Working alongside the cleaning operatives is of paramount importance to create the correct eco-friendly cleaning processes and techniques for the site. Nobody knows better than the person doing the job how things will work. Its ok to have the best intentions, but if they are not practical then its no good, this is where Kleanline excels working with the staff to produce its best practices and processes. Every site is different and to ensure that the correct chemical is used in the correct areas and that there is no wastage of chemical makes a big impact. These may only be the little things but over time they make the difference. It can’t be a one size fit's all sites approach.

Kleanline's commitment to reducing, reusing and recycling.

Like all companies Kleanline is committed to the 3 R's reduce reuse and recycle. Kleanline look to reduce waste where possible, we only use single use PPE where there is a health and safety need other wise we use re-usable. We look to reduce the amount of chemical and water needed to clean sites. We are also making strides into reducing paper consumption for sites with check sheets and checklists going online. Kleanline look to reuse items where possible by purchasing where possible larger containers and decant into small containers that are re-used time and time again, as well as cleaning cloths, mop heads and other items that once cleaned can be re-used. Where this is not possible we look recycle our paper, carboard, shrink wrap and plastics.

Always moving forward.

Like all aspects of running a business, you have to stay on top of changes and new developments, don't become complacent and always strive for better.

We have to remember we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
